I got my March Birchbox in the mail today and I couldn’t wait to unbox it so I filmed it and here it is!
Did you get your March Birchbox? Have you tried any of these products? Leave me a comment below! ❤
Honestly, this would be on my wish list just for the blushes. I love Lorac blushes and this palette is no exception. The colors are absolutely gorgeous! The fact that you get a lipstick is just icing on the cake!
I have to admit I’m late to the contouring party. I have done miniml contouring with my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer but I feel like it’s a bit too warm. This is next up on my list of things to purchase for sure!
I can’t resist trying this mascara. I am obsessed with Benefit’s “They’re Real” mascara so I’m dying to try this one out.
I haven’t heard anyone talking about this palette and I have NO idea why! This looks like the perfect palette to throw in your bag for weekend getaways. All you would need to bring for your face is foundation and concealer and you’re all set!
If you saw my last video you know how obsessed I am with having everything I need to touch up a makeup situation. This would be absolutely perfect to keep in your bag!
If Becca’s shadows are anything like their highlighting powders this palette will be heavenly!
What’s on your wish list? I would love to know! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog ❤
Tarte is one of my all time favorite makeup brands. They have amazing, high quality cosmetics plus they’re free of most of the ingredients I like to avoid • A win/win in my book!
I bought this on a whim because I wanted a new concealer that would be similar to Benefit’s “Erase Paste” but either in a tube or with a wand. I didn’t like sticking my fingers in the container.
What Tarte claims it does…
Tarte’s Maracuja Creaseless Concealer offers long-lasting, full coverage in a creamy, velvety texture with pure skin-soothing ingredients. This high-performance natural formula is infused with tarte’s pure maracuja oil, which helps to improve skin’s texture, tone, and moisture content while imparting a brightening, dewy, luminous finish. In addition to promoting healthy skin, this velvety concealer is also ideal for masking discoloration and imperfections such as acne, blemishes, redness, scars, hyperpigmentation, and dark circles. This nutrient-rich, blendable, liquid makeup brightens and restores skin’s natural luster, leaving you with a flawless complexion.
What it really does…
I actually completely agree with that description. It’s a very thick consistency so I like to use my fingers to apply it. I squeeze a bit onto my ring finger and then rub it between my fingers to warm it up so it’s a little easier to work with and it becomes this beautiful creamy consistency. It layers really nicely, isn’t drying at all, kdoesn’t crease(!), and covers well. It’s great for anything from under eyes to blemishes. Plus, it’s paraben, petroleum, and phthalate free. I love this stuff so much I’m thinking about getting two shades when I run out of this tube. One for correcting my undereyes and one for blemishes.
Have you tried this? Let me know in the comments! What are some of your favorite concealers? I love trying out new ones!

It gets so hot here in NOLA that I save a few fragrance favorites for the winter just because to me– they seem too heavy with the hot, humid, summer air. These are some of my all time favorites that I use every winter. (I am not great at describing scents so I’ll leave that to Sephora)
As the scent opens, an airy bouquet of violets is set against the antique charm of dried petals found between the pages of a book. Traces of past memories turn to the present as a peppery note swells over a calm trace of mossy wood. A scent that breathes in the secret hours of night, it is mysterious and fragile—yet leaves a lasting trail.
Violet Leaf, Pepper, Cedarwood, Patchouli, Vetiver.
Light. Mysterious. Antique.
I absolutely love this perfume. A little goes a long way and it lasts all day. The first time I ever sprayed this perfume on me I was shopping in Sephora. I sprayed one spray and didn’t think much of it– but as I was shopping around the mall, I kept getting whiffs of it and by the time I left the mall I was sold!
Luminous green top notes join a heart of rich and exotic tiger orchid and lingering base notes of sweet toffee and Indonesian patchouli to leave a sensual memory on the skin.
Green, Tiger Orchid, Toffee, Sensual Indonesian Patchouli.
Feminine. Luxurious. Stylish.
This perfume smells so warm and cozy to me, that’s why I love wearing it in the fall/winter. I just love wearing this with a big, cozy, chunky sweater!
A decidedly young scent for those who dare to dream. A light, subtly sensual fragrance, filled with vitality and energy, evolves from one moment to the next, each wholly unique. – (The Sephora website doesn’t list the notes for this one.)
This is a light scent but a little strong for during hot summer days. I do love this perfume for a night out though. This is definitely a “getting dressed up” perfume for me and the perfect complement to a fancy dress.
Something to definitely keep in mind is that each perfume will smell different on everyone. When I first sprayed the Balenciaga Paris perfume, I wasn’t impressed but as it meshed with my body chemistry I loved it more and more. Definitely go to the mall or your nearest department store and try them out on yourself before you invest.

This time of year, if I’m not religiously moisturizing my hands, the winter can get the best of them. I try my best to moisturize every time I wash them but let’s be honest, it doesn’t always happen, and before you know it, your hands are dry and scaly. These are just a couple simple things you can do to get your hands back from the throws of winter skin.
First off, you need to exfoliate. I know this sounds like the last thing you would want to do to your poor, dry, irritated hands but trust me, you need to. If you don’t get that top layer of dry skin off, no matter how much moisturizer you put on top, it WILL NOT sink in. Now, you definitely don’t want to scrub harshly. Just lightly scrub your hands, rinse with lukewarm water, and pat them dry to prep them for the next step. A couple of my favorite hand/body scrubs are JR Watkins, Giovanni or even just some coconut oil and epsom salts mixed together would do the trick.
– You want to pick a gentle lotion and apply it generously. Because you exfoliated off the top layer of skin, it will sink in beautifully. I would probably even do two layers of lotion. Some of my favorites are Nature’s Gate, Crabtree & Evelyn, Aveda, and Nourish Organic.
– Finally, I like to apply a cuticle cream/oil to my nails and cuticles to lock in the moisture even more. I love Crabtree & Evelyn and Burt’s Bees.

Can you believe February is almost over?! One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to use up the stuff I already have so I have been going through products like crazy. Check out my latest empties in the video below!
What did you think? Love/hate any of the same products as me? Let me know in the comments below. I hope y’all are having a great weekend so far!
I love painting my nails. It’s one of my favorite ways to relax and unwind. It’s also the main reason I don’t love gel nail polish as much as everyone else, it lasts too long. I like to switch my nail color out once a week and a weekly trip to the nail salon is not in my budget.
I’m a big fan of Julep polishes but especially this one. I got this color in one of my Julep Maven Boxes and just tried it out this weekend. I absolutely LOVE it! It’s a magenta/purple/iridescent shade that is so gorgeous when the light hits it.
If you’re interested in checking out Julep nail polishes, their monthly Maven box is a really great deal. Click the link for more information!

My favorite reds are blue toned. They complement most skin tones and make your teeth look whiter so that’s what I normally stick with. Here are some of my favorites…
Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil – “Pomegranate”
This is probably the warmest red out of all of them but it’s so gorgeous. This is so comfortable on the lips, glides on smoothly, and had pretty good staying power too!
Clinique Chubby Stick Intense – “Mightiest Marachino”
This is extra creamy, almost glossy, and slightly sheer. This is a good pick if you want to try out a red lip for the first time.
Revlon Lip Butter – “Red Velvet”
This is a deep red that is really wearable. It’s not in your face at all and like all lip butters, it feels really good on the lips.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm – “Standout” #250
This is definitely my favorite red out of the bunch. It’s matte, easy to apply with the pointed crayon tip, stays on all night, and doesn’t venture out of you lip line at all. I grab this one 99% of the time I’m going for a red lip.
What are some of your favorite red lip products? Let me know in the comments! ❤
