I bought this on recommendation from my friend who loved it and used it once a week. I’ve used it for a while now and here’s what I think!
First off, as always, here are the claims…
What it is:
A dual-action exfoliation method that seemingly smooths away years in as little as two minutes.
What it is formulated to do:
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate® Intensive Exfoliating Treatment is Kate’s top-selling product, and the next best thing to seeing Kate in the clinic. This signature, expert formula works both physically and enzymatically to deliver safe, dramatic results in one application—and in the comfort of your own home. It effectively combats acne and blackheads, reduces discoloration, and polishes skin for a smooth complexion. Ideal for all skin types except sensitive skin, it harnesses the power of fruit enzymes to clarify skin by removing dead cells and eliminating bacteria. Skin will appear healthy, youthful, and vibrant.
What I Think:
This stuff is AMAZING! It is crazy expensive but, to me, it’s worth it. A teeny tiny bit goes a LOOONG way. I have the 0.5 ounce tube and it’s lasted way longer than I expected!
This is the first scrub I’ve used that I can feel working. Regular scrubs feel good and your face feels clean on the surface but this leaves your skin feeling clean deep down in your pores! Your face feels so incredibly smooth and ready to suck up whatever serum or moisturizer you’re about to put on it. I don’t think I can even truly convey how much I love this stuff! Try it, you won’t regret it!
Ps. I have crazy sensitive skin and I can use this once a week with no irritation whatsoever.
I was SO incredibly excited to get this in my most recent Sample Society Box. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I’m ready to share my thoughts with y’all! First off, let’s see what Benefit’s claims are…
What Benefit Says It Does:
What it is:
A mascara inspired by hair rollers, this super-curling and lifting mascara gives a sexy, wide-eyed look. Its patent-pending Hook ‘n’ Roll™ brush features tiny custom-designed hooks to catch, lift, and curl even short and straight lashes.
What it does:
Bye-bye, eyelash curler! Roller Lash not only lifts and super-curls, but this instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours, is easy to remove, and contains provitamin B5 and serine, known for their lash-conditioning benefits.
What I Think It Does:
I do like this mascara a lot. The formula is nice, on the thinner side, and glides on the lashes easily. I do not think this actually “curls” your lashes with the “hook and roll technology.” If you curl you lashes before you apply it it does hold the curl all day long, which I really like. It lengthens nicely and doesn’t flake or smudge on me, even on the lower lashes. I have very watery eyes so that’s a huge win for me.
Although it lengthens really well, I don’t find it to be volumizing, it doesn’t claim to be, I just have longer lashes and am looking for a more volumizing mascara most times.
At the end of the day if I had to choose between this and the Benefit “They’re Real” mascara, I would choose “They’re Real.” It does all of the same things as the “Roller Lash” plus I find it to be more volumizing.
What are your thoughts on the Roller Lash mascara? I’d love to know!
It’s no secret I love Origins products. This is one of my favorites from the brand. I have the original version of the High Potency Night-A-Mins, not the oil free version. The 1.07 oz size retails for $41.
What Origins Claims:
Put dullness to rest. This night cream is fortified with a system of time-released resurfacers, minerals, moisture-rich replenishers, and vitamins C, E, and H to refresh and support naturally radiant morning skin. Relaxing aromas lull you to sleep and dry, dead layers slough away leaving skin looking bright and feeling refreshed.
What it really does:
I love this night cream, it’s so perfect for dry, winter skin. It has a light, subtle scent and is free of sulfates, phathalates, and parabens. It’s thick but not too thick. You really do wake up feeling refreshed and your skin feels so supple and moisturized but not at all greasy. I don’t know that it sloughs off dead skin but I do love the way my skin looks and feels when I use it.
If you have oily skin you might find this too much for you but if you have normal or dry skin I think you would love this! Have you tried this? What did you think?
